Classic Winter Wedding | Kimberly & Andrew

12/30/18

POSTED IN: Weddings

The quiet sanctuary of St. Jude church was filled with a bout of laughter as Andrew unfolded a piece of paper so long that the bottom hit the floor at his feet. That paper was his vows. As he began to read and recount the story of how he and Kimberly met and fell in love, that laughter quickly turned to tears of joy throughout the audience. He spoke of her character, her kind heart, and her modest demeanor. It was clear how much he admired her and appreciated all that she had given to their relationship over the last couple years as they moved around the country for his job in the Navy. These vows were only the beginning of the many, many heartfelt speeches and anecdotes that would be shared throughout this classic winter wedding day.

If you read Kimberly and Andrew’s engagement blog post, you know they have been living out in California and planned their wedding from out-of-state. This meant we weren’t able to meet until the week of their wedding. Nevertheless, by the end of their big day, they felt like old friends. The love of their friends and family filled the entire day with joy.

Andrew and Kimberly, thank you so much for your service to our country. And thank you again for choosing me to capture your amazing day. Your love for one another is an inspiration. I can’t wait to see where life takes you! Enjoy your preview!

Andrew’s ring is my favorite groom’s ring to date! I’ve been following Rustic & Main on Instagram for quite a while now and have always admired their unique rings. I was so excited to see one in person. This particular ring was made from a 1903 Springfield rifle stock from WWI, fabric from an infantry man’s uniform and a stainless steel inlay. Such a cool piece of history, and so fitting for a military man.
