We all know I love photographing weddings, but my second love in the photography world is senior portraits. This stylish downtown senior session gives me all the heart eyes! Maybe it’s pure nostalgia or maybe I just feed off of the excitement of my clients, but senior sessions totally feed my creative spirit. The hour I spent with Ellie and her mom in East Grand Rapids is no exception.

We have had such a weird summer so far this year. It’s been cool and wet; definitely not the June weather I’m used to. With scattered rain showers sprinkled all over the radar this morning, we decided to push onward, and the results were fantastic! We were practically the only people at Reeds Lake and around all the adorable storefronts in east town.
