This spring I had the opportunity to assist Laurenda Marie Photography at an absolutely stunning City Flats Ballroom wedding. If you’ve never been to City Flats Ballroom in downtown Grand Rapids, it is a super cool old building. The ballroom that now hosts elegant weddings and events actually used to be a bank. It features stunning architecture, and its downtown location makes it an ideal wedding venue. City Flats is located near several fantastic portrait locations, including the Grand Rapids Art Museum, Riverside Park, and the Aquinas and GVSU campuses. I can’t wait for the opportunity to photograph here again!
Although I was not the primary photographer at this event, I just had to share some highlights here on the blog. There were so many gorgeous flowers and pretty details! It was photography heaven. I also loved the rich emerald green with the pop of pink flowers. It’s no surprise every detail of this wedding was simply stunning; the bride is a wedding planner!
Check out this beautiful ceremony setup. The floral decor is lovely, of course, but the beauty of the space speaks for itself.
Portrait locations included nearby Riverside Park, the 6th Street Bridge, and the Grand Rapids Art Museum.
While we were out taking photos, the City Flats event staff flipped the ballroom into this incredible reception space. Can we talk about that sweetheart table?!
