Getting a detail shot of your gown before you put it on is pretty much a must, right?

My one piece of advice on the matter is to ditch that horrible plastic hanger your dress came on! Sure, it serves its purpose, but it takes that stunning dress photo from GREAT! to fine in 0.2 seconds.
