Meggan and Brent have been planning their October 2019 barn wedding for quite a while now. They actually found me via their venue, The Barn at Monterey Valley, where I shot a wedding last year. We met for dinner where I learned the two weren’t officially engaged yet, but were getting a jump start on wedding planning. Meggan is a planner and I love that! I was so excited when they chose me to be the one to document their big day! When they said they wanted a laid-back, country engagement session at their home, I couldn’t think of anything more perfect.

I adore all things rustic and these two fit that definition perfectly. They have an adorable home out in the country where they raise goats, and Meggan is in her last year of vet school. We had so much fun taking these photos and incorporating what they love the most. I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding next year. They are even going to have one of their goats be their ring bearer so, of course, we had to include them in their country engagement session!
