I usually do not blog weddings that I’ve done working as a second-shooter for another photographer; however, I had to make an exception for this absolutely gorgeous, historic mansion wedding at Venue3Two. Every detail was complete perfection. I just know this Pinterest-worthy wedding will be an inspiration to anyone planning their own wedding! It’s certainly giving me some ideas for my own…
People ask me all the time how many weddings each year I typically shoot. Over the last few years, I have averaged around fifteen weddings per year. That said, I actually only take on 5-6 wedding clients of my own because I want to ensure my clients get a very personalized experience. Because of this, I supplement my schedule with second shooting for other photographers.
I have been working with my colleague-turned-friend, Sam, of Evelyn Vaughn Photography for over five years now. Our similar shooting style and workflow makes working weddings together so seamless, and it’s so much fun to have someone to share our passion for the craft with. Even though we approach weddings and photography in a similar way, Sam has a very different editing style than I do. It’s always really fun to see the weddings we do together from each other’s perspective. You can check out her site here!
Venue3Two
Venue3Two is a relatively new wedding venue in Grand Rapids. The minute we pulled up to the property, we were in awe of it’s charm and beautiful details. The restoration and addition that has been done in order to take it from historic home to classy event venue is so gorgeous. Add a fun couple, incredible florals, stunning details, and you have the makings of a truly eye-catching wedding day! I’m so excited to share all of my favorites.
