Brett & Emma | Grand Ravines Engagement Session

10/26/19

Picking out my favorite photos is always easy, but these blog posts are always a bit challenging to write. Trying to tell the story of a couple you don’t know well and do it justice is no easy task. I would argue, though, that telling the story of someone you know very well is even tougher! This was a very special session because it features people I love very much. Brett and Emma met their freshman year at Grand Valley State University through mutual friends. They hit it off and the rest is history. Almost six years have passed, and after an intimate proposal while on vacation up north, they are planning a beautiful and fun barn wedding this June.

I had so much fun with their Grand Ravines engagement session. These two are no strangers to being in front of my lens. I’ve been making them model for me for years, but this time was extra special. We even joked that now it totally mattered what side Emma stands on so we can see that gorgeous ring! Speaking of, that beautiful ring (that I even got to help pick out!) has an extra special story. All engagement rings are special, of course, but when the diamond comes from your grandmother’s engagement ring, it’s off-the-charts amazing. Just wait until you see it up close!
