Last night, we had the makings of an absolutely perfect woodsy nature trail engagement session! Beautiful weather, gorgeous surroundings, and a super fun couple. Alana and Chris have been together for fourteen years, and are officially tying the knot on their anniversary this September! After hanging out and getting to know them better, I cannot wait to celebrate their big day with them!
Alana has been so great through all the challenges that COVID-19 has brought our way this year. Adding to the challenge is the fact that she and Chris are planning their wedding from across the country. Though they both grew up in Michigan, Alana and Chris now live in Florida. Nonetheless, nothing is going to stop them from having a wonderful wedding. I’m so honored they chose me to photograph their destination wedding on Higgins Lake. It’s going to be so beautiful! (Plus they flew all the way up here just for their engagement session!)
Alana and Chris love the outdoors, and wanted their engagement session to have the same look as their wedding. Alana suggested we check out the Wege Foundation Natural Area in Lowell; a place I’d never even heard of. It couldn’t have been better, though. Beautiful glow coming through perfect rows of trees and wildflowers everywhere. I’m definitely adding this to my list of fav session locations!
Without further ado, enjoy this preview of my favorites from our time together!
This beautiful, antique engagement ring belonged to Alana’s grandmother. I just love it!
