Angela and Ian are just the sweetest people. Both have a heart for helping others, and you can just tell they are meant for one another. Their love story is one of those “happened by chance in only the way God can orchestrate” kind of stories. Their faith and their love for one another is truly inspiring.
On a beautiful July day, I had the privilege of documenting a beautiful chapter in this love story and I am so excited to share it with you. If I had to assign a theme to Angela and Ian’s big day, it would be family. No small detail was over-looked and it seemed that every element of their day had a beautiful story. I’ll do my best to point some of them out in this post. Enjoy!
This incredible barn is not a wedding venue, believe it or not! This gorgeous property belongs to Ian’s grandparents. It was a labor of love cleaning it out and getting it wedding-ready, but boy was it worth it! They even lined the walls with beautiful black and white photos of their family and friends. The space was filled with love from start to finish.
A six pence in your shoe for luck! But not just any six pence, Ian found one with the year his grandparents got married!
My amazing second-shooter, Jessie, and I discovered this adorable message when we were doing our detail shots. Angela had no idea the message was there until she got dressed. So sweet!
And Ian’s “pocket square” was made from his grandma’s wedding dress.
Angela and Ian wrote their own vows. They were absolute perfection; leaving nearly every guest (including me!) in tears!
Angela’s dad built that beautiful cross. Immediately following the ceremony, all of their guests gathered around it for a prayer.
So, so beautiful! I feel so blessed to have been able to witness such an incredible beginning for the two of you! Wishing you many happy years to come!
Just breath taking…..leaves me in awe!
