It’s been a long winter here in Michigan, and to say I’ve missed shooting during that slower season is an understatement! Last weekend I had the opportunity to second shoot a wedding. We had a blast, but all that did was make me want more photography in my life. I can’t wait for this season to really get underway! When Nicole reached out about doing a downtown Grand Rapids couples session while she and her husband, Noah, were going to be in town, I was all about it.

I’ve known Nicole for a few years now. We met through our siblings when they were in nursing school together, and she is actually a fellow photographer. Side note, isn’t it crazy how life brings people together in different ways? One of my favorite things about this business is how many people I have had the opportunity of meeting and working with because of it.

As it turns out, we planned this shoot at the same time a big race was going on downtown. Oops! People were everywhere. Streets were blocked off. But the weather was amazing, trees are finally blooming, and we got some fantastic photos! Downtown is such a lovely place for a session. Nicole and Noah, it was so much fun to see the two of you and to catch up. I hope you enjoyed your adventure on this side of the state, and love this preview of your session!

Spring is SO dreamy. We turned a corner and saw this gorgeous path lined with trees full of gorgeous, white blossoms. It was perfection! You almost can’t tell we are still downtown!
