Well guys, 2020 wedding season officially kicked off yesterday! A couple month ago, no one knew if this wedding would be possible. It wasn’t exactly the  big Red Shed wedding Brett and Emma had originally planned, but it was a joyful celebration of their love nonetheless. Brett and Emma are college sweethearts. They met at the very beginning of their freshmen year and have been together for seven years. So to say this day was a long time in the making is a bit of an understatement.

I truly feel for all of the couples who have had to downsize or reschedule their weddings due to COVID-19; however, as the sister of the groom, I was hit a little harder by this one. Knowing they couldn’t have the large celebration they had been looking forward to, Brett and Emma were still determined to tie the knot on their original date. They had a beautiful ceremony with the support of their immediate families and closest friends, and plan to have a big party with the rest of their loved ones this October. I can’t wait!

Emma, I am truly overjoyed to officially welcome you to the family! I couldn’t dream of a more perfect match for my little brother. (Dang it! I cried during your vows and I’m tearing up trying to type this, too…Someone pass me a tissue!) I love you both so much! Have an amazing time out west on your honeymoon. I can’t wait to hear all about it when you get back. Until then, here’s a sneak peek of your big day!
